But, if you've tried chatting your way to a good piece of writing, you've probably noticed that the outcome is quick to get to, but not always what you need. InkFurnace is designed to help you quickly learn and follow a writing process where you gather the facts for your writing, decide on the content, and finally write the thing using as close to your own voice as we can get. It's our goal to help you be a better and more efficient writer, while maintaining your unique voice and style.

Our goal is to do writing with you, not for you. You are likely here because you have tried apps that are set up to do things for you. But, not involving you in the process usually leads to output that doesn't really reflect how you would have written the piece. InkFurnace's goal is to save you lots of time and make you more productive. But, we're not here to replace you. We're here to work alongside you.

For most writers, and most projects, yes. There are a few famous writers who will say they do all their work in a stream-of-consciousness sort of way. If that hasn't worked as well for you as you had hoped, then you are in the right place. Most really valuable things came about through some sort of process. Think about the device you are reading this on now. That didn't just happen to exist as a result of an engineering brainstorming session. It came to be over a long time and through many iterations. Good writing often follows a process that involves planning, revising the plan, gathering notes, and finally writing and revising again. You don't have to do all of that for every project, but you'll find that for many writing efforts, some form of this process will serve you well.

Log into the app and navigate to Writer Profile on the menu. Fill out your skills profile and add any personas you want to use in your writing.

A writer's persona is those aspects such a voice, style, genre and theme that help describe what is unique about that writer. Now, one writer may have multiple personas. Why would that be? Let's say you have a day job writing tech blog articles for your company, and at night you write adventure fiction. Well, with InkFurnace you can have a persona for each of those. The AI behind InkFurnace uses the persona you select for a project to help guide how the writing evolves. It will generate text that is likely to fit that particular persona. Of course, you can still edit that text before you finalize and publish, but this will help you get started off right.

Yes - just navigate to Account on the menu, and find the section for changing your password. If you forgot your password and can't log in, just go to the login page and click the Forgot Password link and follow the steps.
